So, 5 + 12h = 14.


2. -12(x + 7) = 60

Divide both sides by -12,

x + 7 = -5

Subtract 7 from both sides.

x = -5 - 7

x = -12


3. Total money borrowed by Debbie = 45

Money repaid by her each week = 5

Money that she owes currently = 20

So, 45 - 5t = 20, here the variable t stands for the number of weeks passed.


4. Number of keys Michael has = 27

= 3(Number of keys Rachel has)

So, Number of keys Rachel has = 27/3 = 9

Number of keys Rachel has = 8 + Number of keys Ann has

So, Number of keys Ann has = 9 - 8 = 1

Hence, Ann has only one key.


5. 5x - 12 = -20
