We are given AB = 14x -7.

AC= 35.

B is the mid point of AC.

Therefore,

AB = BC

We have AB = 14x -7.

Therefore, BC also = AB = 14x -7.

AB+BC = AC.

Plugging values of AB, BC and AC in the equation, we get

14x -7 + 14x -7 = 35

Combining like terms, we get

28x -14 = 35.

Adding 14 on both sides, we get

28x -14+14 = 35+14

28x = 49

Dividing both sides by 28, we get

x=1.75.

Plugging value of x=1.75 in expression for AB = 14x -7, we get

AB= 14*(1.75) -7

AB = 24.5 -7 = 17.5.

AB= BC.
