At what speed should a forklift be operated?

Source: OSHA Fatality/Catastrophe Reports, complied by OSHA Office of Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical Engineering Safety Standards. A forklift truck at 10 mph = 40 feet to stop. A forklift truck at 10 mph = 40 feet to stop. MAXIMUM 3 mph in areas where pedestrians are present.
