Answer : Fraction of remaining trip =
(6)/(17)

Remaining distance = 240 miles

Total distance he plans to drive = 680 miles

Distance he drive before he stopped for gas
=(9)/(34)

Distance he drive and stopped for lunch
=(13)/(34)

Fraction of trip remains

=1-(9)/(34)-(13)/(34)\\=1-(22)/(34)\\=(34-22)/(34)\\=(12)/(34)\\=(6)/(17)

Remaining distance of trip is given by

(6)/(17)* 680\\=6* 40\\=240 miles

Hence, remaining distance for the trip = 240 miles
