Assuming that the measurements you gave is base and height:

The equation used is:

Area = 1/2(base)(height).

Plug in the numbers

A = 1/2(4.5)(4)

Simplify

A = (4.5)(2)

A = 9

9 m^2 is your answer

Hope this helps
