Graph the image of the given triangle after the transformation with the rule (x, y)→(x+3, y−5) .

Select the "Polygon" button from the tool bar to plot your triangle. You may use the "Move" button to move the triangle after it is created.

Graph the image of the given triangle after the transformation with the rule (x, y)→(x+3, y−5) .

The vertices of given triangle ABC is

A(2,2) B(7,3) and C(4,-3)

rule (x, y)→(x+3, y−5) , add 3 with x and subtract 5 from y.

A(2,2) becomes (2+3, 2-5) => (5,-3)

B(7,3) becomes (7+3, 3-5) => (10,-2)

C(4,-3) becomes (4+3, -3-5) => (7,-8)

So the vertices of triangle after transformation is

A'(5,-3) B'(10,-2) C' (7,-8)

The graph is attached below
