Answer: 48

Explanation:

The length of FH is 7x + 6, but we first have to find the value of x and then substitute

When you take a close look at the figure, you will see that;

4x + 24 = 7x+6

collecting like term

24-6 = 7x - 4x (what we did is that we took 4x to the right hand side and then 6 to the left handside of the equation)

7x -4x = 24 -6 (It is still the same equation, we only change the positioning)

3x = 18

Divide both sides of the equation by 3


(3x)/(3) =
(18)/(3)

x = 6

Now we've gotten our x.

Then we now substitute x =6 in 7x +6

Length FH = 7x +6 = 7(6) + 6 = 42+6 = 48

Therefore length of FH is 48
