What number of Fe atoms and what amount (moles) of Fe atoms are in 500.0 g of iron? 500.0 g (1 mol / 55.845 g) = 8.953 mol 8.953 mol (6.023 X 10 23 atoms / 1 mol) = 5.392 X 10 24 36. A diamond contains 5.0 X 10 21 atoms of carbon.
