1. Holly, Tyler, and their parents go shopping for some items to update their 3 bedrooms. They have exactly $325 that they can spend. They have the following items in their cart: 3 packages of curtains, 3 bedspreads, 3 gallons of paint, and 3 lamp shades. Complete the following to find out if they have enough money to purchase these items and, if they do, how much they will have left over.

Complete the following to find out if they have enough money to purchase these items and, if they do, how much they will have left over.

(a)   If a package of curtains cost $24.50, what is the cost of the 3 packages of curtains in the cart?

(b)   If a bedspread costs $39.95, what is the cost of the 3 bedspreads in the cart?

(c)   If a gallon of paint costs $24.96, what is the cost of the 3 gallons of paint in the cart?

(d)   If a lamp shade costs $9.99, what is the cost of the 3 lamp shades in the cart?

(e)   Find the total cost of all the items in the cart. Then, find the amount of money the family has left, if any, from the $325.

Please tell me how to do it so I can do it for the next one. Thank you

Yes they will have enough

The total cost of the items was $298.20

We find this by taking the cost of 1 thing like the curtains, then we see how many were brought, which was 3. So we do the cost which is $24.50 and multiply that by 3 to get $73.50. And we keep doing this with the other items and add them up.
