The peak in intensity for our sun on a black body curve would be in
the 500 nm range.
We can use Wien’s Law to calculate the peak wavelength of a black body
λ_max = b/T, where b = 2.898 × 10⁶ nm·K
The "official" temperature of the sun is 5778 K.
∴ λ_max = 2.898 × 10⁶ nm·K/5778 K = 501.6 nm
