5y+16+10y+14=180 became supplementary angles are always equal to 180.
To solve it..
1) 5y+16+10y+14=180 1) Given
2) 15y+30=180 2) Combine like terms
3) 15y=150. 3) Subtraction P.O.E
4) y= 10. 4) Division P.OE
5) 10(10)+14. 5) Substitution P.O.E
6) 100+14 6) Distribution
7) m<2=114

angle 2 = 114°

supplementary angles sum to 180° thus

5y + 16 + 10y + 14 = 180

15y + 30 = 180

subtract 30 from both sides

15y = 180 - 30 = 150

divide both sides by 15

y =
(150)/(15) = 10

angle 1 = (5 × 10) + 16 = 50 + 16 = 66° and

angle 2 = (10 × 10) + 14 = 100 + 14 = 114°
