acceleration which is -g = -9.81m/s^2

therefore -170N= m (-9.81m/s^2)

m= 17.32

mass of object = 17.32kg hope this helps

Answer:

Weight of the object is 17

Step-by-step explanation:

The force acting in the downward direction is
170 newton.

Since the object is travelling in the downward direction, the acceleration due to gravity is applicable

Hence "g" is acting downward

We know that force is equal to the product of mass and acceleration. Here is this case "acceleration due to gravity"

So,

F = m * a\\F = m * g\\170 = m * 10\\m = 17
