The left term is 8x⁶ = (2x²)³.

The right term is 27y³ = (3y)³.

The sum of cubes identity is

... a³ +b³ = (a +b)(a² -ab +b²)

Filling in the values for a and b, the factors of your expression are ...

... (2x² +3y)(4x⁴ -6x²y +9y²)
