Solution: We are given:

To make 6 cups of lemonade, Ronald needs q cup of lemon juice.

Now Ronald has to make 24 cups of lemonade.

Let x be the number of cups of lemon juice needed to make 24 cups of lemonade.

Using the proportionality principle, we have:

(6)/(q) =(24)/(x)

x=(24 q)/(6)

x=4q

Therefore, to make 24 cups of lemonade, he needs
4q amount of lemon juice.
