Introduction

Throughout this essay I will go over three inventions and how they changed the world we live in today. The three people and inventions will go over are:

• Henry Ford

• Wright brothers

• Tomas Edison

Henry Ford

Henry Ford was founder of the Ford company and head developer of the assembly line. Henry Ford was determined to build a simple, reliable and affordable car; a car that the average person could have. Out of his determination came the Model T and the assembly line. Both of which revolutionized society and molded the world we live in today.

The Wright Brothers

The Wright brothers built and flew the first airplane. The first airplane was made of wooden beams with canvas stretched over them. The plane had two horizontal wings that were parallel to each other. Behind the wings were two propellers that pushed the plane through the air. The plane also had two rudders controlled by a system of pulleys. The airplane changed the world as we knew it.

Tomas Edison

Tomas Edison developed the light bulb, and many other things. But I’m going to talk about the light bulb. He’s Known as America’s greatest inventor. The light bulb is considered the most important invention since man-made fire. The light bulb helped establish order after dark, it extended the work day into night, and allowed us to get around safely in the dark. Without the light bulb, there wouldn’t be nightlife. The light bulb worked by passing electricity through a thin platinum fila in the glass vacuum bulb, which delayed the filament from melting. Still the lamp only burned for a few short hours in the early days of development.

Conclusion

That’s my essay about three different inventions. I think the assembly line and Model T made the biggest impact on society and changed America in many ways. My favorite invention was also the Model T because it was the first affordable vehicle. Hope you enjoyed!

Hope this helps!

1. The Nineteenth Century

Electric power AC and the telephone gave place to the most important advances in years to come in the United States. Electric power AC together with the telephone became the cell phone predecessors. Those innovations boosted the economy and it is even hard to imagine the new era of communications without these two innovations. The United States has kept its first place as world power as a result. The automobile, though not fully developed until the Twentieth Century together with the telephone and electric power AC foresaw future developments that changed communication, commerce and relationships not only around the United States but across the world.

2. The Twentieth Century

Computers, together with internet have changed the way the world communicates today. Computers and internet have empowered the United States to maintain a leading position in the world by speeding up communication and spreading knowledge and technology.

We cannot leave the airplane and antibiotics aside as they contributed greatly to the boosting of the national industry and the winning of war. Antibiotics have contributed greatly to public health.
