Ratio of osmosis is calculated via equation rate = (change in mass)/(time), which means that

Ratio of osmosis in cucumber is: (12-14 g) / 5 min (300 s)= -0.006 g/s

Percentage change in mass would be= (14 – 12) ÷ 12 × 100 = 2 ÷ 12 × 100 = +17%
