the equation to solve this type of question is :

( x1 + x2 ) divided by two = x value of coordinate

( y1 + y2 ) divided by 2 = y value of coordinate

together these equation will give you an answer for ( x , y )

in this case we would set it up like this :

x1 + x2 divided by two would look like this :

(x + -1) / 2 = -3

(x+ -1) = -6

x = -5

now solve for y

y1 + y2 divided by two :

(x+6) / 2 = -8

(x+6) = -16

x = -22

so the answer would be ( -5, -22 ) which is answer A
