How do you add negatives and positives?rules

Same signs no matter if its division, multiplication or subtraction or addition if they are different signs then its always negative. For addition the two positive equals negative only is true if its a - (-b) which would equal a+b but if its like -a + -b it would be -a+b sorry if i made it more complicated with variables. :P

Same signs add and keep. Different signs subtract. If you are subtracting take the sign of the number with the higher absolute value
