20x + 12 = 14x +30
20x - 14x = 30 - 12
6x = 18
6x/6 = 18/6

Answer:

x = 3

Explanation:

The given equation is 4(5x+3) = 14x + 30

20x + 12 = 14x + 30 [ Distributive rule ]

20x - 14x + 12 = 14x - 14x + 30 [Subtraction of 14x on both the side of the equation ]

6x + 12 = 30

6x + 12 - 12 = 30 - 12 [ subtraction of 12 on both the sides ]

6x = 18

x =
(18)/(6)

= 3

Therefore x = 3 is the answer.
