the outlier is 28 because there is a big gap between 28 and 61

to find the mean add all the numbers together then
divide the number of values added

Answer:

A)28

B)67.45

C)71.4

Explanation:

We are given the following data:

68,63,67,66,65,87,69,61,86,82,28

a) The outlier in the data is 28 as we can clearly see all the data points in the given data set ranges from 60 to 88 but their is a single entry of 28 which is different.

b)
Mean = \frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{\text{Total number of observations}}\\\\ = (68+63+67+66+65+87+69+61+86+82+28)/(11)\\\\=(742)/(11) = 67.45

c)
Mean = \frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{\text{Total number of observations}}\\\\ = (68+63+67+66+65+87+69+61+86+82)/(10)\\\\=(714)/(10) = 71.4
