(3)/(10) of his paycheck went into each child's account.

Step-by-step explanation

Deon paid bills with
(1)/(2) of his paycheck.

So, the remaining amount of his paycheck
= 1- (1)/(2)= (1)/(2)

Now he put
(1)/(5) of that remaining amount in savings. So, the amount put in savings
=(1)/(2)*(1)/(5)=(1)/(10)

The rest amount of his paycheck will be:
1-(1)/(10)= (9)/(10)

He divided that rest amount equally among the college accounts of his 3 children.

So, the fraction of his paycheck went into each child's account
= (9)/(10)/ 3= (9)/(10)* (1)/(3) = (3)/(10)
