The points (0, -6) and (1, -3) fall on a particular line. What is its equation in slope-intercept form?

This is due tomorrow and I'm panicking because this is so hard for me! Please help ASAP

First, find the slope (m): m =
(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) =
(-6 - (-3))/(0 - 1) =
(-3)/(-1) = 3

Next, input ONE of the points (x₁, y₁) and the slope (m) into the Point-Slope formula: y - y₁ = m(x - x₁) I am choosing to use (0, -6)

y - (-6) = 3(x - 0)

Then, solve for y:

y + 6 = 3x

y = 3x - 6

Answer: y = 3x - 6
