The cost= 75 candy bars •$0.49;
75•49/100= ((75•50)-75)/100= ((75•100/2)-75)/100= ((7500/2)-75)/100=
(3750-75)/100= 3675/100= 36.75
Or
75•50cents= 37.5
considering you pay 50 cents instead of 49;
37.5 -0.75= 36.75
Now you took away the extra penny between 50 and 49
