angle = 14°

complementary angles sum to 90°

let x be the angle then it's complement is 5x + 6 thus

x + 5x + 6 = 90

subtract 6 from both sides

6x = 90 - 6 = 84

divide both sides by

x =
(84)/(6) = 14

the angle = 14°
