f( -
(1)/(2))) =
(16)/(3)

substitute x = -
(1)/(2) into f(x)

f( -
(1)/(2) = -
(2)/(3) × -
(1)/(2) + 5

=
(1)/(3) +
(15)/(3) =
(16)/(3)

Replace the x by -1/2

f(-1/2) = -2/3 * -1/2 + 5

= 1/3 + 5

= 5 1/3 or 16/3
