x =
(13)/(2)

the perimeter of the square = 4 (2x + 1) = 56 → (solve for x)

divide both sides by 4

2x + 1 =
(56)/(4) = 14

2x = 14 - 1 = 13 ⇒ x =
(13)/(2)
