Frist of all, you cannot multiply each side by dt it just doesn't work that way. So, since you are solving for d you have to factor out the t. Now, do r=d(t). Now, you can divide each side by t since it is now factored. So, it is d=r/t. Hope this worked!

Multiply both sides of the equation by time to find distance.

... rt = d
