To find the width, multiply the length (7 3/4 ft) by 1/3:

1 31

--- * ------- = 31/12 ft; this comes out to 2 ft 7/12 inches, or 2 7/12 ft.

3 4

The width of the garden is 2 7/12 ft.

7 times 4 is 28, plus 3 is 31

(31)/(4) * (1)/(3) equal \: to \: (31)/(12)
31/12 in the simplest form is 2 7\12
I wrote 1 instead of 12 as the denaminator
the person in the bottom made me to check my answer and I found out that I have made a mistake in finding the answer first time. he is correct.
