204 times 12
2)notice dividends
12 goes into 12 once, 12 goes into 204 seventeen times
3) you end up with
4)Multiply Across
17 times 5 is 85
85 is your solution

First you want to turn 5/12 into a decimal which would be .4166666
You can round that to .416
Then you multiply 204 and .416 to get 84.864.
You would round that to 85.
So 204 times 5/12 is 85.
