4x+2x+5=41 ???????????

First you add 4x and 2x which brings you to 6x. Then you would subtract 5 from 41 which would get you 36. Then divide 6 by 36 and therefore your answer is 6+x

4x+2x+5=41

6x+5=41

-5 -5

6x = 36

(Divide by 6 each side)

x=6
