Which approach would a military historian take to study the Cuban missile crisis?

as a person who enjoys learning about military history. i would read books and and factual web articles to find out what happened the missile crises happened during the cold war and was one of the closest moments to disaster we had. so a book about the cold war would cover such a thing. i would also look at news broad cast of the event and newspapers. i would also speak to people who were witness to such events. these are the things i would normally do. i hope this helps.
