100g / (5.2g/cm3)

= 100g / (5.2g / 1cm3)

= 100g x 1cm3 / 5.2 g

= 19.2 cm3

Since 1 cm3 = 1 ml, your answer is 19.2 ml.

Answer:

19.23mL

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Density of the metal (ρ) = 5.2g/cm³

Mass of the metal (m) = 100g

Volume of water spilled (v) =?

The volume of water spilled would be equivalent to the volume of the metal since the metal would occupy that same volume in the jar.

Density = mass / volume

ρ = m / v

v = m / ρ

v = 100 / 5.2

v = 19.23 mL

Therefore the volume of water spilled is 19.24mL
