The answer is you had to use a double set of parentheses; 30-(4x(2+5))

30-4*20+5=2

(30-4)*2+5=57 wrong

30-(4*2)+5=27 wrong

30-4*(2+5)=2 right

my work:

30-4*(2+5)=2

First parentheses: 2+5=7

30-4*7=2

Second multiplication and division, left to right: 4*7=28

30-28=2

Last addition and subtraction, left to right: 30-28=2

2=2

There's your answer. Hope it helps.
