The Second Great Awakening was a religious movement which started in the US in the 1890s and lasted 3-4 decades. It consisted on a revival of the protestantism, deeply influenced by the perspective of Romanticism, emotions, glorification of the supernatural and of the natural realities, etc.
As the Romanticism movement, the Second Great Awakening had a large impact in the US and emerged as a response to the Enlighment principles and the racionalization of all realities.
