A.

C and D are only describing mirrors, and have nothing to do with the palace being a prison. B doesn't seem to describe him being in the palace at all. A describes how he is treated, and his treatment can be akin to that of a prison.

Answer: The correct answer is D.

Explanation: It can be noted how the palace becomes a prison when

sentence D expresses that the characters spents the day before mirrors and windows and he doesn't note the fact that the objects that rounded him were becoming narrower. It suggest the idea that the caracter is locked inside the place, and at the same time, he is accostumed to be so.
