Use the distance formula or Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of each of the sides.

(-5, -4) to (2, 6)

d =
\sqrt{(-5 - 2)^(2) + (-4 - 6)^(2) }

=
\sqrt{(- 7)^(2) + (-10)^(2) }

=
√(49 + 100)

=
√(149)

(2, 6) to (4, -4)

d =
\sqrt{(2 - 4)^(2) + (6 - (-4))^(2) }

=
\sqrt{(- 2)^(2) + (10)^(2) }

=
√(4 + 100)

=
√(104)

= 2
√(26)

(-5, -4) to (4, -4)

you can just count the distance between the coordinates: d = 9

Perimeter = (-5, -4) to (2, 6) + (2, 6) to (4, -4) + (-5, -4) to (4, -4)

=
√(149) + 2
√(26) + 9

Answer:
√(149) +
√(149) + 9
