(-10x+58)+(6x+41)=111

(-4x+99)=111

Subtract 99 from each side

-4x=12

Divide each side by -4

x=-3

Then check by substitution

(-10(-3)+58)+(6(-3)+41)=111

Which is true so x=-3

111=(-10x+58)+(6x+41)

Now add same resulting in

111=-4x+99

now subtract 99 from 111

12=-4x

now divide -4 from 12 getting

ANSWER:x= -3
