The parent function is y=f(x).

If the ordered pair (2, 2) lies on the graph of the parent function, then its coordinates x=2 and y=2 satisfy the equation y=f(x), then

2=f(2).

For the function y=f(x)+3 find y when x=2. Substitute x=2:

y=f(2)+3.

Since f(2)=2, then y=2+3=5.

This means that point (2,5) lies on the graph of the function y=f(x)+3.

Answer: (2,5).
