What is the height of an isosceles trapezoid, if the lengths of its bases are 5m and 11m, and the length of a leg 4m? (Please show your work) Thank you!

We have been given the measure of two parallel sides as 11 m and 5 m. And we are given one of the slanted sides as 4 m.

From the given information, we can find the base of one of the side triangles as 3 m.

Therefore, upon using Pythagorean theorem, we get the set up for height as


h^(2)=4^(2)-3^(2)=7


h=√(7)

Therefore, height of the required figure is
√(7) m
