Hi DevilWithin2002,

Solve for x: 2[x-4]+6=12

= 2 [7 - 4] + 6 = 12

= 2 x 3 + 6 = 12

= 6 + 6

2(x - 4) + 6 = 12 \\ 2x - 8 + 6 = 12 \\ 2x - 2 = 12 \\ 2x = 12 + 2 \\ 2x = 14 \\ x = 14 / 2 \\ x = 7
The answer is x = 7
