Consider Cube having side length 1 yd

it's total surface area = 6
(side)^2

total surface area of cube 1= 6×1×1=6 square yd

Consider cube 2 having side 1.5 yd

total surface area of cube having side 1.5 yd=6×1.5×1.5=13.50 square yd

Length of rock paper= 7 yd

Total surface area of cube 1 + Total surface area of cube 2= [length × breadth] of paper

⇒ 6+13.50 = 7 × B

⇒19.50=7 B

⇒Breadth =19.50÷7

Breadth of paper= 2.6 yd(approx)
