Answers,

X = 24

Z = 4

Explanation One,

Step 1. Add "3"to both sides,

1/4x - 3 + 3 = 3 +3

1/4x = 6

Step 2. Multiply both sides by "4"

4 * (1/4x) = 4 * 6

x = 24

Explanation Two,

Step 1. Simplify both sides of the eqation,

3z + 2 = 14

Step 2. Subtract "2" from both sides

3z + 2 -2 = 14 - 2

3z = 12

Step 3. Divide both sides by "3"

3z/3 = 12/3

Z = 4

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Donovan,

1. Solve The Equation

1/4x - 3 = 3

\frac{1}{4}x-3+3=3+3

\frac{1}{4}x=6

4\cdot \frac{1}{4}x=6\cdot \:4

x = 24

2. Solve The Equation

2 + 3x = 14

= 2 + 3(4)

= 2 + 12

= 14

x = 4
