Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a non-contagious, recurrent skin condition or disease. Treatments for HS range from medical-grade antibiotics to clinical-quality topical ointments. Hidradenitis suppurativa typically manifests as a progression from single boil-like, pus-filled abscesses or lesions, or hard sebaceous lumps, to painful, severe, deep-seated and often inflamed clusters of lesions with chronic seepage (suppuration) involving significant scarring. Patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa are often misdiagnosed by medical experts. It is difficult to treat, and currently there is no known cure.
