Amount of lemonade in each pitcher = Seven quarters =
(7)/(4) gallons

We have to determine the amount of lemonade in 5 and 1/2 pictures.

First, we will determine the amount of lemonade in 5 pitchers.

So, Amount of lemonade in 5 pitchers =
(7)/(4) * 5 =
(35)/(4) gallons.

Now, we will calculate the amount of lemonade in half of the pitcher =
(7)/(4) * (1)/(2) =
(7)/(8) gallons

Total amount of lemonade in 5 and half a pitcher =
(35)/(4) + (7)/(8)

LCM of 4 and 8 is '8'.

=
(70+7)/(8)

=
(77)/(8) gallons.

Therefore, the total amount of lemonade in 5 and 1/2 pictures =
(77)/(8) gallons =
9 (5)/(8) gallons.
