Solve the equation. 5x−7=4x−1

Hint: it isn't a decimal it is a fraction
Please help Algebra is hard.

5x-7=4x-1

5x-4x=1x

1x-7=1

7+1= 8

1x=8 then divide 1 and 8 which shows x=8
