18 inch = 3/2 ft

$( (3)/(2) * 3 )/(8) \\ = ( (9)/(2) )/(8) \\ = (9)/(2) * (1)/(8) \\ = (9)/(16)$
Cat tall 9/16 ft = 6.75 inch
