A complement of a angle measures 10 degrees more than the measure of the angle. What is the measure of the angle and it’s complement?

40° and 50°

complementary angles sum to 90°

let x be the angle then it's complement is x + 10

sum = x + x + 10 = 90

2x + 10 = 90

subtract 10 from both sides

2x = 90 - 10 = 80

divide both sides by 2

x =
(80)/(2) = 40

thus the angle is 40° and it's complement is 40 + 10 = 50°
