To proof

Given: Length =12cm, width= 18cm, height = 22cm

volume of the rectangular prism (say V1) = length × breadth × height

= 12×18×22cm³

=4752 cm³

when dimensions are doubled

New length = 24 cm, New breadth =36 cm, New height =44 cm

volume of the rectangular prism (V2)= 24×36×44 cm³

= 38016 cm³

= 8(4752)cm³

This shows when the dimension doubled the volume of rectangular prism be 8 times the volume of the first one.

Therefore,
V_2=8\time V_1
