If a fraction has 10 as its denominator, then we can write its decimal expansion by putting the decimal point after one number from the left.

Example:

(325)/(10) =32.5

If a fraction has 100 as its denominator, then we can write its decimal expansion by putting the decimal point after two numbers from the left.

Example:

(1325)/(100) = 13.25
