In order to find the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a pentagon, we will use the below mentioned formula.

\text{Sum of Interior Angles }= (n-2)180^(\circ)

In case of pentagon, we have

n=5

On substituting the value of n in the above formula, we get

\text{Sum of Interior Angles }= (5-2)180^(\circ)\\ \\ \text{Sum of Interior Angles }=3 * 180^(\circ)\\ \\ \text{Sum of Interior Angles }=540^(\circ)

Therefore, the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a pentagon is 540 degrees.
